The agritourism was born from the renovation of the old manor house immersed in the family farm of 6.5 hectares mainly cultivated with olive groves, orchards and cereals. The garden and the breeding of farmyard animals continue an old rural tradition handed down to this day.
Located just 1.5 km from the sea, bordered by the Natural Park of Rimigliano with free beach and parking, is ideal for those who love the countryside and simple life.
Guests stay in two-room apartments where great attention is paid to detail, with a private entrance on the ground floor. They have a private veranda equipped for sitting and dining outdoors. The rooms are spacious and furnished with Tuscan Arte Povera style furniture, and have large bathrooms with shower cubicle and a fully-equipped kitchen-living room.
There are rural outbuildings on the farm where rabbits, goats and hens are bred: children can enjoy their holiday in freedom and learn about traditions that have now disappeared.
The agriturismo has a swimming pool bordered by acacia trees, surrounded by greenery, with aromatic and climbing plants, seasonal flowers and perennials.
An adjacent fenced play area for children is also available, ensuring parents have complete peace of mind.
The old “carraia” with the traditional wood-burning oven, the outdoor veranda and the barbecue are ideal for evenings with good food and good company.
The proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea means guests can get there directly by bike, using the ones available from the agriturismo, passing through theRimiglianoNaturalPark that runs along the whole of the free beach for about10 km.
For sportier guests, the centuries-old pine forest is ideal for hiking and jogging, while for the less active, there are areas equipped with toilets and picnic tables where visitors can enjoy a little shade in the hottest hours of the day.
A dog-friendly beach is available exclusively for four-legged friends.
The area is home to numerous parks called the “Val di Cornia” where, amidst green woods and walking trails, it is possible to reach Etruscan and Roman archaeological sites of great interest, such as the Etruscan necropolis in Populonia and La Rocca di Campiglia.
4 kmaway are Calidario and the Valle Del Sole spas (with which the agriturismo has a special deal), known for their swimming pools with calcium sulphate spa water and wellness centres with massages, mud and programs.
On foot, you can walk along the picturesque alleyways and lanes of the medieval villages situated along the EtruscanCoast: Suvereto, Campiglia, Sassetta, Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci, rich in history and ancient walls, often coming alive in summer and winter evenings, in their fairytale castles and old towns, with cultural and folklore events.
The nearby ports of San Vincenzo and Piombino make it possible to reach many islands in the Tuscan archipelago, the closest (only a hour away by ferry) being Elba, Giglio and Capraia.
