The agriturismo

Le Murelle farm is located in the Tuscan countryside, 7 km from Lucca.

A typical Lucchese farm from the 1700s that has been recently renovated, it stretches mainly in the hills, among vineyards, olive groves and woodlands. It produces wine, extra-virgin olive oil, honey and offers hospitality in typical farmhouses renovated in keeping with agricultural tradition. The choice was to keep the original spaciousness of the interior spaces intact. Guests will have comfortable and convenient homes at their disposal.

Each apartment has its own mutually distant private terrace to ensure privacy and tranquility. Delicious breakfasts and tastings of typical products are offered upon reservation.

At guests' disposal are three barbecues.

The accommodation

The estate consists of the Manor Villa and several farmhouses intended for tourist accommodation. They are characterized by spacious rooms, heating, two bathrooms, and a fireplace.

- Marietto's House (5 people;120sqm) consists of entrance hall, kitchen-living room with fireplace (ground floor), 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 2 bathrooms with shower (second floor), private terrace with barbecue.

- Lorenzo's House (7 persons;250sqm) consists of large kitchen-living room with fireplace, 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 1 single bedroom, 3 bathrooms with shower, private terrace with sitting area and barbecue. Apartment has disability accessibility.

- Casa di Duardo (8 people;300sqm) is a splendid apartment, once inhabited by the farmer. It spreads from the ground floor (with disabled access) to the second floor. It was completely renovated in winter 2012, respecting the traditional rural Lucchese atmosphere. It consists of independent entrance, kitchen, large living room with fireplace, 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 2 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower and large private terrace with sitting area and barbecue.

On the second floor there are two apartments made out of the old attic of the farmhouse and maintain all its original atmosphere.

- La Soffitta a Valle (2/3 persons; 60sqm) consists of 1 double bedroom plus a single bed, large kitchen-living room with fireplace, bathroom with shower and private terrace with sitting area and barbecue.

- La Soffitta a Monte (4 1 persons;85sqm) consists of kitchen-living room with fireplace, large double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom with shower.

All accommodations are surrounded by green spaces, vineyards and a large masonry swimming pool.

Activities and surrounding

In the immediate vicinity of the farm are a well-organized riding school and a well-equipped golf course.

Thanks to its location, the estate is an ideal starting point for excursions to the sea, mountains, lake, spas and visits to important cities of art, such as Lucca (7km), Pisa (15km), Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. In just 20 minutes by car you can also reach the Versilia coast, and in about 45 minutes the mountainous area of Garfagnana.

We're really sorry that these gentlemen weren't satisfied with their stay, but I think they were looking for something different and more modern. We wanted to preserve the authenticity of our structure, which is quite old, and this is always much appreciated by our guests. Very often our guests thank us because the apartments are more beautiful than they look in the photo.
However, as we're always trying to improve, we'll take back some of the criticisms these gentlemen have made, even if they were rather unpleasant in person.
