Via Volterrana, 7, Moriolo 56028 San Miniato (Pisa) Code 050032AAT0026
In the hills of San Miniato, on a 50 hectare estate, of which 43 hectares are covered in woodland, this eighteenth century villa stands on the ruins of an ancient medieval castle featured in the Moriolo coat of arms. During the renovation of the complex, the former wine cellar was transformed into a restaurant with three intimate lounges and an additional larger lounge with brick walls and exposed stone.
The swimming pool, nestled among greenery, boasts a children's pool and beautiful views of the ancient San Miniato hamlet and the Apennine mountain chain. The farm produces an excellent extra virgin olive oil without the use of chemical products.
The Villa is available for exclusive hire by groups or families looking for a more private holiday experience.
The 4 guest apartments, all with large fully equipped kitchens and fireplaces, are the result of a meticulous renovation, in which original beams, bricks, vaults and bricks were recovered where possible.
First floor:
Argento has 2 double beds, bathroom and large storage room;
Smeraldo, with its own entrance, has a living room with a double sofa bed (sleeps 2) , 2 double beds and 2 bathrooms (in emerald green hues) and small laundry area.
Second floor:
Turquoise, in beautiful shades of blue, offers large living room with double sofa bed (sleeps 2), 2 double beds, 2 bathrooms and hallway;
Ambra is the "flagship" of the villa in terms of size, attention to detail (beams, rafters, vaults, mezzanines, handmade terracotta tiles, columns of old bricks, stone, marble and parquet...) and the presence of a large attic converted into a suite. Ambra has a large equipped kitchen with pantry, large living room with 3-seater sofa and armchairs, small bathroom, a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, each with private bathroom. The large attic is an open space with 2 double beds, a single bed and 2 bathrooms, plus a 2-seater sofa, reading table and TV.
Guests can taste wine, cured meats and typical cheeses at the agriturismo’s partner wine cellars nearby. You can also enjoy truffle hunting with expert guides in the San Miniato hills, after which you can taste and purchase the product. Near the villa you can enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding at the riding centre close by. You’ll also find a lake for canoeing and rowing, with instructors available. 10 km takes you to tennis courts and golf.
