The agriturismo
The agriturismo is a stone's throw from the historic centre of Castiglione d'Orcia, in a panoramic position with views over the valley of the river Orcia, and provides accommodation in a traditional farmhouse among olive groves and vineyards, next to a hight oak forest.
The accommodation
The typical farmhouse in an unspoiled rural setting has been renovated using traditional local materials and Tuscan arte povera style furniture; amenities include a large kitchen-lounge with fireplace and sofa-bed, two bedrooms, both en-suite, a laundry room, and heating.
Guests can relax in a 6x12 metre swimming pool and are provided with garden furniture for al fresco dining, complete with barbecue.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is sorrounded by an olive grove with a small vineyard, and lies at the edge of a small area of woodland providing the ideal habitat for the typical wildlife of Val d'Orcia (UNESCO heritage): hares, roe deer and countless bird species.
Guests can enjoy trekking, horse riding in a nearby riding stables, and visit the delightful towns of Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano, which offer unique historic and naturalistic treasures.
