Casagrande is a farmhouse recently restored, in the countryside of Montepulciano, an ancient city with interesting and Renaissance history. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and woods, it offers accommodations in apartments, for an holiday of complete relaxation.
The agriturismo is an old farm from the XVIII century immersed in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, within an isolated panoramic position, surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves.
The building has been divided into seven apartments of various sizes and types: five in the principal farmhouse and two in the gracious adjacent annex (dependance).
All the property has been restructured with the utmost care and respect for the original characteristics of the building. The floors in old terracotta, beams in wood, the antique furniture has been carefully restored, recreating inside a warm and friendly atmosphere of the Tuscan hillside villas. All the apartments have the utmost comfort with large internal spaces and comfortably and functionally furnished.
Inside the large lounge-dining room you can taste the typical products of our zone, taking advantage of the kitchen space supplied with cutlery and plates, fridge and electric oven. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and have easy access to the independent bathroom with a shower and bidet.
Moreover You can relax in the large garden in the shade of age old tress, on the edge of the swimming pool immersed amongst in green and nursed in nature's silence, surrounded by one of the world's most suggestive panoramas.
A swimming pool 7x14 metres is available for the guests in the large private garden. You can play tennis at the Fantina, less than 2 km away, make relaxing and pleasant excursions or walks in the woods and in the surrounding countryside or enjoy yourselves in cultural visit and enogastronomic tours in the beautiful city of Montepulciano that conserves in tact the beauty of a time. In this antique city, it is not by chance called the Pearl of the 1500's, the visitor can admire the beautiful places and churches the carry the signs of the best Renaissance architecture. Montepulciano is also noted in Italy and in the world for its importance as a great producer of wine. Wine with a great historical tradition. The most well know and appreciated is Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a rosso of high quality and esteem, annually classified among the best Italian wines that carries the DOCG mark (denominazione di origine controllata e garantita).
Montepulciano is also a centre of lively cultural activity. Among the events most noted are, the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte that happens in the month of July and the representation of the folk theatre, the Bruscello, in August. Also to underline the Bravio delle botti: a week of festivities, dinners, processions and parades with costumes from the 13th century where the protagonists are the eight contradas of the city with end with an original palio the last Sunday of August.
In the end a few kilometres far from Pienza and Monticchiello, Medieval and Renaissance architectural jewels - and from the Val d'Orcia, made up of hills, gullys, isolated cypresses on green hills or that follow the harmonious countours of the roads, the property is situated in an excellent position to reach the most important tourist places of Tuscany (Siena and Florence), Umbria (Assisi and Perugia) and Lazio (Rome).
