Via della Fornace 3, Abbadia 53045 Montepulciano (Siena) Code
The ancient Fornace del Conte estate is located in southern Tuscany, between Siena, Lake Trasimeno and Orvieto.
It offers a perfect strategic point to discover the nature, history and culture of this unique region. You can then relax with a dip in the swimming pool nestled in the estate's garden, or enjoy a glass of home-produced organic wine.
The estate itself is rich in history. However, the 4 apartments have been recently renovated and offer all modern comforts. The owners organize workshops and tastings in a multi-purpose room in which a delicious breakfast is also offered.
The farmhouse has 4 apartments. All accommodations are nicely furnished.
Fornace: The charming apartment (which can comfortably accommodate 2 to 6 people) is ideal for families and is located in an annex overlooking the garden (south side). As the name implies, bricks made by hand were once fired and fired here (from the late 1600s to the 1970s).
Mill: The two-room apartment is located in the annex. It overlooks the garden (south side). Suitable for 2-3 persons and 1-2 children (king-size bed 200×180; single bed 190×90 in the hallway of the room; baby bed on request)
Vineyard: Located on the first floor of the front part of the main villa (northwest corner), this one-bedroom apartment is ideal for 1-2 people, a couple with child/children, or guests with mobility disabilities. Two high vaults dominate the ceiling. The apartment overlooks one of our small vineyards and only a few steps from the pool.
Elephantine: The apartment is located on the ground floor of the front part of the main villa (southwest side); perfect for 1-2 people or a couple with son/daughter for whom an extra bed is provided. It enjoys a beautiful view of the garden. The name of the apartment is due to the terracotta in the center of the domed ceiling that towers over the entire room. It depicts the coat of arms of the Counts Bastogi, an elephant with a crown.
By renovating the old abandoned estate among the vineyards, the two current owners, Tatjana and Armin, have realized their lifelong dream in a geographical area full of history and delicacies. Guided tours, workshops are organized and the managers are available to help you organize events.
