Monteroni d'Arbia (Siena)
Podere Corsanello has belonged to the Grisanti family since 1960 and Filippo Grisanti took care of the renovation by choosing all the materials in respect of the traditional Tuscan architecture. The apartment, totally independent, is characterized by anancient tower dating back to the early 1800 and is located on top of a hill surrounded by cypress trees and vineyards, allowing a panoramic view of Siena and Val d'Orcia.
The apartment at guests' disposal is comfortably furnished, with alarge fully equippedkitchen withfireplace, two bathrooms with shower,three double bedrooms and a living room with sofa bed for a total ofeight beds. All windows have mosquito nets and the apartment is also equipped withdishwasher andwashing machine.
Outside there are twospacious green areas with garden furniture and barbecue, where it is possible to relax while enjoying an excellent view or walking on the paths of the surrounding countryside.
InVille di Corsano, the small village where thefarmhouse is located, there is a supermarket, a post office, a doctor's surgery, arestaurant and there is the possibility tobuy typical products from local producers of wine and oil. Siena and its artistic beauties are only 14 km far from the farmhouse.
At guests' disposal mountain bikes, games for children, tasting of local cuisine with chef at home, babysitting service and accompaniment to/from the airport.
A very suggestive itinerary to be covered in the area are the Crete Senesi, both from the point of view of landscape and for the presence of small art centers of great interest, is the one that leads from theAbbey of Molte Oliveto Maggiore to Montepulciano. From Siena you take state road 326 for a short stretch, then you continue to Asciano. From here, through the arid Sienese clays, you reach a hill where the monastery of Monte Oliveto Maggiore rises, surrounded by cypresses. It then continues on the Ombrone valley until it reaches Buonconvento from where it goes up among olive groves and vineyards to the hill where Montalcino overlooks. From here you take the road to S. Quirico d'Orcia, continuing to Pienza and Montepulciano.
