Set in the heart of the Tuscan hills, on the border with Umbria and Lazio, this agriturismo offers its guests the pleasure of immersing themselves in the quiet of a rural world of rare beauty and breathing the air of a sweet and unspoiled nature.
On the farm's lands, products are cultivated to be tasted on site, and cooking classes for enthusiasts of Tuscan gastronomic traditions are organized inside the farmhouse. To conclude, the villa is also equipped with a wellness center.
The farmhouse, which dates back to the 1600s, has been entirely restored respecting the architectural style of the period, has ten hectares of vineyards, where d.o.c.g. wines are produced, which are then aged in the farmhouse cellar, in French oak barrels.
All the furnishings are period, faithfully restored or made by local artisans, in harmony with the spirit of the farmhouse, former site of a convent. Inside the farmhouse and the surrounding cottages are nine cozy apartments consisting of a living room, kitchen, one or more rooms with bathroom and three classic rooms. All apartments and rooms are equipped with TV, telephone, safe box and mini bar.
In the garden surrounded by vineyards and olive groves is a Finnish-style swimming pool and a large outdoor fireplace where our cook, upon request, prepares tasty barbecues or dinners under the stars. Guests also have access to an organic vegetable garden and an olive grove that produces the most genuine extra virgin olive oil every year.
Palazzo Bandino is located just outside Chianciano Terme, a town rich in thermal waters and equipped with all amenities, including a renowned spa. Because of its location, it is also an ideal base for visiting the most interesting Renaissance and medieval towns in the province of Siena.
Guests can, upon request, visit the vineyard and winery, learning about the full range of Tuscan wines from their origins to their illustrious present and tasting eight types of wine.
The farmhouse staff is also available for tours around the farm, in search of traditional Tuscan sites such as ancient oil mills, typical restaurants and local artisans, as well as the inevitable wineries.
A few kilometers from the farmhouse are several spas, including Chianciano, Bagno Vignoni, S. Casciano, Rapolano and Bagni S. Filippo. The farmhouse is 70 kilometers from Siena and Perugia and 15 kilometers from the Chiusi train station.
