Immersed in the peace and the tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside, it is a lovely farmhouse surrounded by a splendid rose-garden, which produces its colourful flowers for great part of the year spreading delicate fragrances all around. In this ancient building Agriturismo Niccolai provides comfortable accommodation in 6 double bedrooms and two Suites with modern ensuite bathrooms, and furnished elegantly with antiques. Room Vernaccia: double bedroom on the ground floor which opens directly into the garden. The room is nicely furnished, and has a private shower room, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, and wooden floors;
Room Malvasia: double bedroom on the first floor with typical wooden-beamed ceiling, a stunning view over the verdant hills, a private bathroom with bathtub, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, and wooden floors;
Room Canaiolo: double bedroom on the first floor with typical wooden-beamed ceiling, a lovely view over Monteoliveto Abbey, a private shower room, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating, and wooden floors;
Room Sangiovese: double bedroom on the first floor, with wooden-beamed ceiling, a romantic view over the rolling hills, a private shower room, satellite TV, wooden floors, air conditioning, and heating;
Room Trebbiano: double bedroom on the first floor, nicely furnished in typical Tuscan country style, with a lovely view over Montauto valley, a private shower room, satellite TV, heating, and air conditioning;
Room Sauvignon: large double room on the ground floor with lovely views and direct access from the garden. Private shower room, satellite TV, air conditioning, heating and dressing room;
“The Suite”: this suite is located in a unique building with an original hexagonal base. The suite consists of a split level double bedroom (50mq), with a 360° amazing view over the Tuscan hills. Recently restored adding modern touches and furniture to the original architectural features, this suite has a luxury private bathroom with chromatic shower, and it is fitted with all comforts such as air conditioning and satellite TV;
Suite Syrah: this large room on the ground floor was formerly used for the aging of Vin santo, the precious Tuscan dessert wine. A delicious breakfast with a savoury/sweet buffet where guests can taste the finest Tuscan pastry and the traditional seasoned meats.
Inviting traditional Tuscan dinners, that in wintertime are served in the cosy atmosphere of Il Vecchio Granaio (the old barn) dining room, at Villa Palagetto; in spring and summertime dinners are served in the barnyard, under the stars.

Guided tours of the modern and efficient wine cellar with its fascinating barrels and barriques stockrooms, two different areas for red wine and for white wine making, a bottling room, and a storage for refinement in bottle. To be mentioned the estate mill where, from late October to December, visitors can attend the oil making process and the magic moment when olives are pressed to obtain an excellent extra-virgin olive oil.
Guided wine tastings in the beautiful and professional tasting room, next to the winery, where visitors can taste several types of local wines (red and white wines, wines to be drunk young or for long ageing) that made Azienda Agricola Palagetto famous all over the world. Not to forget Vin Santo (typical Tuscan dessert wine), grappa, and extra-virgin olive oil.
Unforgettable walks throughout the hills, across the vineyards, the olive groves, and the woodland, to breathe the atmosphere of this natural paradise, walking along the well-marked footpaths of the CAI network.
For guests willing to discover Tuscany, the position of the holiday farm is the best of two worlds: the most prized medieval art towns – such as Siena, Colle di Val d’Elsa, Monteriggioni – can be visited on a day trip. Florence, with its Renaissance treasures, is also easily accessible, whilst the Tuscany coast can be reached in less than 1 hour by car.
