Le Burgne is a wonderful late 19th-century farmhouse on the Umbre hills among olive groves, with enchanting 360-degree views encompassing and as many as 4 regions, Umbria, Tuscany with which it borders, Marche and Romagna. Overlooking the Upper Tiber Valley at about 500 m.l.m, it dominates the entire valley: from Città di Castello to Monte S. Maria Tiberina, from Anghiari, Citerna to Monterchi in Tuscany
With its spacious grounds, its large garden with a saltwater pool and games for young and old, the farmhouse lends itself to a vacation with the whole family and friends. Upon request, you can also indulge in the delicious breakfasts and dinners of the hostess, Patrizia, who welcomes you with cordiality and a taste of the farm's products.
The property is also rented for events.
The accommodation
Finely renovated, the farmhouse has retained the charm of a manor house: the exterior structure has remained unchanged, as has the interior, which features stone walls, wooden beams and original floors. Thanks to the thick stone walls, there is no need for air conditioning; you can be comfortable without it. For those who wish, there is the option of a fan.
The 'stone entrance, houses an old wood-burning oven (still working), a symbol of a lost peasant culture. On the ground floor is a large hallmade out of the old stables, with two brick arches and a stone and terracotta fireplace. Also on the first floor is the kitchen, bar, and two service bathrooms (one of which is handicap accessible; washing machine and dryer available)..
The second floor houses five spacious double bedrooms (all with very large bathrooms and the possibility of a sofa bed and bunk beds) and a reading corner for guests' use.
On request we rent a lovely apartment with private garden, separate entrance and handicapped access.
At guests' disposal: swimming pool with Jacuzzi and the farm's vast park.

The vast park (8000 sq. m.) includes a pine forest, a relaxation area with tables and seating, a barbecue for guests' use, and a pond with water flowers.
The outdoor complex also has a bocce court, volleyball court and soccer field, as well as a children's play area with swings and slides.
A series of steps lead down to the spacious panoramic terrace and the swimming pool with whirlpool and salt water. The farmhouse is set within a farm of about 21 hectares where the owner cultivates vineyards, olive groves, chestnut trees, fruit trees and personally takes care of sheep grazing.
For the little ones, the facility offers the possibility, always upon request, to experience the farm up close: together we collect eggs from the chickens and then go to the kitchen, making a nice ice cream.
Upon request, excursions in the surrounding woods in search of mushrooms and truffles (of which the area is rich) or mountain bike rides are organized . The farm offers the possibility of renting e-bikes. One route begins and ends right from the farmhouse, which is placed on the path of St. Francis. Three kilometers from the agriturismo, there is a splendid 6-hole golf course and a well-equipped equestrian riding school,
The farmhouse is also an excellent strategic point to discover Umbria with its beauties, from Città di Castello to the many villages on the border between Tuscany and Umbria.
The Upper Tiber Valley is rich in remarkable architectural and artistic beauty and from the farmhouse you can reach the most beautiful Umbrian and Tuscan cities in a few minutes: Città di Castello (15 min), Sansepolcro, the birthplace of Piero della Francesca (20 min), Arezzo (45 min), Perugia (35 min), Assisi and Gubbio (40 min), as well as the ancient and characteristic neighboring medieval villages: Monterchi (where the famous painting Madonna del Parto is exhibited), Citerna, Montone, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, Anghiari and Pietralunga.
