The agriturismo
In the Umbrian hills, the ideal location for a relaxing break spent enjoying delicious Italian produce. The agriturismo grows fruit and vegetables without the use of chemical fertilisers, and also rears free-range hens, turkeys, geese and ducks.
The agriturismo, sustainable from an energy point of view thanks to the use of solar panels, is open all year round.
The accommodation
Accommodation is provided in two independent apartments — Il Girasole and La Margherita — surrounded by greenery and rustically furnished, but with outstanding attention to detail. Both apartments include well-equipped kitchens. In addition, there are 4 airy twin rooms, each with its own private bathroom. One apartment and the restaurant (open for breakfast and dinner) are equipped for disabled guests.
Guests can enjoy the agriturismo's delicious cuisine, dining at one large table alongside the other guests, in the air conditioned lounge. During the day you can relax by the swimming pool or on the pool view terrace.
Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation.
Activities and surrounding
The region has much to offer, from culture to nature and sports: the agriturismo is just 20 minutes from Gubbio, 30 minutes from Assisi and Perugia, 40 minutes from Lake Trasimeno and Montefalco and Spello, and under an hour from Città di Castello and Spoleto. The stunning caves of Monte Cucco are a 30 minute drive away. The local festivals and celebrations which run from Easter to Christmas are not to be missed - there's Umbria Jazz, Eurochocolate, the black truffle festival in Acqualagna, the Infiorate flower festival in Spello, and the open wine cellars in Montefalco, to name just a few...
The hills and the Sentiero Francescano trail are the ideal place to walk. The agriturismo also offers English semi/full immersion weeks or weekends, available for groups or individuals, and for children and adults: the staff have 20 years of experience working with schools, businesses and private organisations.
