I Gergoni

A typical Umbrian farm, now carefully restored using traditional materials and techniques but with the comfort of present time. The location is secluded and quite though easy to reach and is perfect for a realxing holyday in the green as well as for touring in surrounding towns and villages.

I Gergoni is located over a hill rich of century old big oaks, in the middle of a land fully converted to organic agriculture where pesticides and other pollutant are banned, the wildlife is protected and hunting forbidden.
The guests can fully use of the 20 hectares property, and exploit the 2 hectares of green and meadows that surround the houses: I Gergoni is the right place where you can relax and enjoy the peace of the country life and the serenity of the countryside.

The apartments are the result of a careful restoration of the old stone buildings, carefully and completely furnished with vintage furniture, in an intimate and personal environment.

House Maria: for 6 people, 120 square meters, has: three twin beds rooms each with private en suite bathroom, a large living room with fireplace, a large kitchen, porch, private garden.
House Myriam: for 8 people, 130 square meters, has: two double bed rooms with private en suite bathroom, two twin beds rooms sharing a bathrooms, a large living room with fireplace, a kitchen, private garden.
House Emilia: for 4 people, 90 square meters, has: two twin beds rooms each with private en suite bathroom, a large living room with fireplace, a large kitchen, sheltered terrace with a view over the valley.
House Ghika: for 4 people, 90 square meters, two double bed rooms, two bathrooms, large living room with fireplace, kitchen, private garden.
House Giulia: for 4 people, 60 square meters: one double bed room, a twin beds room, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, private garden.
House Letizia: for 2 people, is a single room of about 40 square meters: living room with kitchen corner, bathroom, mezzanine (loft) with a double bed, sheltered terrace with a view over the valley.

From the large, secluded swimming pool, you can enjoy a splendid view over the Chiana Valley which divides Umbria and Tuscany.

I Gergoni is located in the territory of Monteleone d'Orvieto, in the very heart of central Italy, one of the most beautiful countryside in the world, rich in culture, history and art, were the landscape is soft and peaceful, were the nature is healthy and respected, were flourished a Middle Age that built wonderful cities and small villages still intact in our times.

Very rich, both from a quantity and quality standpoint, are the opportunities offered to the tourists and virtually infinite the alternatives: it could be very pleasant to wander in the surroundings and visit the many charming small villages, starting from Monteleone d'Orvieto, founded around the 10^th century, that  keeps untouched the Middle Age plan and the structure of fortified village; or visit important places like Orvieto, Chiusi, Città della Pieve, Perugia, with their Etruscan origin and Middle Age heritage; or follow an enogastronomic path and visit the many wineries in Montepulciano and Montalcino in Tuscany or the ones in Montefalco in Umbria in search of that wonderful and surprisingly unknown wine which is the Sagrantino, or, last but not least, relax in San Casciano dei Bagni in the beautiful SPA with hot thermal water.

Another great heritage of the area is the local food, so tied to the old traditions, based on excellent ingredients, oil and wine mainly, a food that preserve the methods of the ?good old days?, home made, healthy, tasty.
