The agriturismo
The holiday farm lies 20 km south of Padua within easy reach of the famous historic villas of the Veneto such as Venice (50 km), Vicenza (23 km), Verona (90 km). Deeped in the Regional Park of Colli Euganei. The estate offers accommodations in indipendent villas or apartments. The 200 hectare private estate consists of 8 recently restored holiday accommodations, a 19th century English-style park, a carefully designed 18 hole golf course and cultivated land.
The accommodation
Bencontenta, sleeps up to 12: this luxury farmhouse will make a perfect holiday to those who wish to be close to tourist attractions and yet enjoy a holiday far from traffic and stress. Its huge outside pool and the private garden with herbs and fruits make it an ideal accommodation in summer, while the wide hall on the first floor and the warm living room with the fireplace and precious furniture will let you enjoy the house even in the coldest season.
Tempietto, sleeps 4: Tempietto is a perfect holiday home for really unusual vacation. The surrounding luxuriant nature, the amazing porch with columns, where you can take your dinners on summer evenings and the intimate sitting room will give to your holiday in Veneto a special touch of romanticism and a taste of past times, yet enjoying all of the comforts of a modern house.
Lieta, sleeps up to 8: Lieta is located on a beautiful and very intimate spot of Frassanelle private park, with its beautiful panoramic view. This country house is sunny and comfortable, with four bedrooms, each one having a spacious en suite bathroom, a modern kitchen and two spacious sitting rooms. Its quiet location, on the top of a hill, assures your privacy , so that on warm days you can take your meals outside, under the porch equipped with table and chairs.
Farmhouse: the 17th century venetian farmhouse which used to be the centre of the agricultural production has preserved its old charming atmosphere. Some parts of the original buiding have been turned to nice holiday apartments for our guests, while the former wine cellar is now an impressive hall where parties, wedding recptions and meetings are held.
Torretta, sleeps 2: the Torretta apartments are ideal for both short or longer holidays. All of them are built on two levels, with the living area downstairs and the bedroom on the mezzanine. They have a nice sight onto the farmyard or the internal courtyard, which is equipped with tables and deck chairs for a relaxing break or for your al fresco meals.
Aster, sleeps 5: this country apartment in Veneto, located above the former stables, develops around a central living area with a bright sitting room and a kitchen. The wooden floor gives to Aster a particularly comfortable and warm look. Downstairs, under the porch, there are tables and chairs where you can sit with your own laptop surfing on the web, take your meals with your family or just enjoy the lively atmosphere of this ancient venetian farmhouse.
Activities and surrounding
Swimming pools: there are 2 swimming pools at the Frassanelle estate, one is for the exclusive use of the Bencontenta villa the second was built on the edge of the golf course and is available to guests of the Tempietto, Lieta, and the Fattoria (Torretta and Aster).
Frassanelle Golf Club's swimming pool is open in July and August, Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesday) from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m:00 and is accessible by prior reservation, by sending an e-mail to [email protected]
The Euganean Hills on which the Frassanelle estate lies, are an area of unspoiled beauty, famous for the possibility of hiking and biking, offer their visitors interesting cultural destinations. Among these the most renowned are the 11th-century Benedictine Abbey of Praglia, the Castle of Monselice, the house of Francesco Pretarca in Aquà, The 16th-century Villa dei Vescovi in Luvigliano now owned by the FAI, the walled town of Este, the castles of Valbona and S. With a few more kilometers to go, the Veneto is full of wonders to discover: from Palladio's Villas to those on the Brenta, from the walled towns of Montagnana and Cittadella, to Bassano del Grappa with its famous ponte degli alpini. Also Asolo, Marostica where chess is played in the piazza, with human pawns.
