The agriturismo
A classic farmhouse from the XVIII° century, located near the Euganian hills. 2 kms away from the exit of the autostada A4, 16 km from Padova and Vicenza, 45 minutes from Venice. Surrounded by the quiet green countryside of the Po valley, the farmhouse hosts its guests in cozy rooms and apartments with all mod cons and private open air swimming pool.
The accommodation
We will be looking forward to receiving you in our greeting room; and we will be glad to have you stay in one of our five rooms or in our apartment. Every room has satellite TV, air conditioning, and private bath.
If you wish, you may choose to relax or chat with other guests in our spacious common room, or read a good book on the comfortable chairs of the upstairs balcony. After an enjoyable day of sightseeing, you may want to spend an evening learning classic Italian card games or drink one of our many different chamomile teas before retiring to your room for your night rest.
The farm is an old farmhouse built in the middle of the 18th century, around 1750, and has always been part of the property of the Villa Baldan-Mario, the family’s country estate. During the renovation, care was taken to respect the original architectural features of the building. Recycled woods from the farm such as elm, poplar and cherry were used in the building process for the doors and windows, together with oak in the construction of the steps in the entrance room. Furthermore, after in-depth research, and because we were interested in using a bio-renewable materials, we chose to adopt a furnace for the farmhouse that functions with corn grown on our farm.
Activities and surrounding
Guests of the farmhouse can enjoy a walk along the carriageways of our farm and country roads, or stroll along the levy of the Ceresone River that runs alongside our property. The many “Trattorie”, local restaurants, located nearby offer traditional regional food in unique settings. Guests will also have the chance to visit Padova or Vicenza, nearby cities where to taste typical cuisine or expierence cultural specialties of the area. Verona and Venice are nearby as well.
The farmhouse is only a few kilometers away from Padova, one of the most beautiful art cities in Italy. Guests can also enjoy a daily tour of Venice, the lagoon city unique in the world, rich in history, art and with a unique romantic atmosphere. The city is an pen-air museum where everything is history.
