The agriturismo

The eco-biological farm is an ideal place to relax amidst the nature of the Euganean Hills park, enjoy the beauty and history of the area and appreciate the good local cuisine and wines of the hills. Very close to Padua, Venice and Vicenza, it is also an educational farm, offering accommodation and food service made using the farm's organic products. Away from the town, during the warm season there is the possibility of swimming in our swimming pool (with a corner also for small children) and resting in our large garden. There is also aparking area for campers and tents equipped with all facilities.

The accommodation

Our family-run agriturismo is an old 19th-century Veneto farmhouse and is built with trachyte from the Colli, the famous stone of St. Mark's Square in Venice.

The accommodations, all furnished in the rustic style typical of peasant homes, have their own bathroom, air conditioning, heating, mini-fridge and a small comfort corner with kettle, coffee and herbal teas to indulge in some warm pampering.

- Casetta: A beautiful example of rural architecture made of trachyte, the stone of the Hills, the Casetta sleeps 4 (one double and one bunk bed) and possibility of adding a single sofa bed, and is located in the middle of the farmyard garden.

- Stanza del Fattore: Created from the old farmer's quarters, this accommodation sleeps 5 (3 single beds and a double) and is arranged in two different rooms.

- Glicine: Located in front of a large wisteria and obtained from the farmhouse cellar, this room sleeps 3 (a double bed and a bed-sleeper), has its own separate entrance and a small garden with a sitting area. The accommodation has facilities for the disabled.

- Veneziana: Located in the attic floor and carved out of the barn, this lovely room is made entirely of trachyte and wood, and has a comfortable double bed (ideal for couples).

- Rondinella: Made out of a rustic outbuilding and consisting of two floors (with a small sitting room on the ground floor), this is an ideal accommodation for large families, accommodating 5 beds (a double, a bunk bed and a single bed) in two different rooms.

- Little House: A detached cottage in full contact with nature, it can accommodate up to 5 guests (one double, one bunk bed and one single bed) and is ideal for families seeking tranquility.

- Roseto: Room with 4 beds (one double and one bunk bed), located in front of an old rose garden, ideal for families with young children.

For those who prefer to remain in more contact with nature and freedom, there is a green area on the property , a parking area for campers and tents; all pitches are equipped with drinking and running water, toilets and showers, are located in the shade of fruit trees and have a standard size of 60 square meters. There is also a parking area for campers and tents equipped with all services: ideal for living in freedom and in contact with nature in a quiet, familiar place with all comforts.

FOODSERVICE:

The catering service is based on quality products from our organic farm and takes up traditional dishes with simple and seasonal dishes, also offering vegetarian and vegan alternatives. Among the products made by the farm we have various sausages (such as soppressa veneta and pancetta), seasonal vegetables, various kinds of grains (with which we produce, for example, wheat and corn flour and make bread, cakes and focaccia), craft beer made with barley from our fields, fruit compotes and jams, beef from free-range specimens raised in the open air, and eggs raised according to the old-fashioned method. Food service is available from Friday to Saturday by reservation.

TWO SIMPLE RULES TO RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND OUR LAND:

The La Buona Terra farm is strongly committed to respecting and protecting the environment, acting sustainably and empowering its guests through awareness-raising initiatives.

Therefore, following its own eco-biological philosophy, the farm has established two main guidelines for guests of the facility to follow during their stay:
1. Reduction of plastic consumption through the use of water dispensers (both natural and sparkling) located within the farm, which can be purchased moreover at a purely symbolic price.
In this way, the agritourism wants to empower and strongly involve its guests in the fight against the abuse of plastic use, consequently limiting the use of small bottles in the facility.
2. Separate waste collection. Upon arrival, tourists will be given guidelines in paper form so that they can sort their waste in the correct way.

The La Buona Terra farm has as its main goal the preservation of nature and the wonders that surround us, and it believes that its own guests, by applying these simple but very important rules, can play a fundamental role in the care of our land.

Activities and surrounding

EDUCATIONAL FARM

The La Buona Terra farm encourages and involves its youngest guests in discovering the activities of the farm and getting to know the animals that are raised. In fact, two mornings a week an activity in true "small farmer" style is organized : collecting eggs and fresh vegetables from the garden, taking care of the animals and feeding them, exploring the farm riding a tractor, and much more. The service is free of charge and available on Monday and Thursday mornings from about 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, by reservation before your stay.

GUIDED BIKE TOURS AND RENTALS

It is possible to rent bicycles and E-bikes, with which you can discover the area on your own or in company, participating in the many organized guided tours. Upon reservation before your stay. The price will be established on site with the contracted agency.

ORGANIZED EXCURSIONS IN THE TERRITORY

Discover the Euganean Hills by hiking trails suitable for adults and children. Chestnut forests, vineyards, natural waterfalls, flowers, breathtaking views, nature to breathe.

CLIMBING

The open-air gyms where sports and nature intertwine. We are between Rocca Pendice and Lumignano, the two most striking places to perform this activity in Veneto.

IN THE SURROUNDINGS

The farmhouse, immersed in the natural charm of the Euganean Hills, offers several opportunities: if you love biking, the hills have a ring that you can do in one day and visit several villages, churches and castles. Also by bike, you can go to visit Padua (recently become a UNESCO heritage site) and all its monuments-having a large river nearby, the Bacchiglione, you can take long walks or bike rides and also get to your choice of Venice or Vicenza, the city of Palladio.

Just 1 km away is the Villa di Frassanelle with its late 19th-century park, considered one of the most interesting and well-preserved in the Veneto region. Within the park is a large golf course that you can use if you are a golfer, and it is also possible to arrange guided tours by expert naturalists.

Nearby there are numerous castles, churches and medieval villages, such as Arquà Petrarca. Other places of tourist interest include:

- 9 km away is the spa area of Abano and Montegrotto Terme with thermal pools and other health possibilities

- At 13 km is the city of Padua with the Basilica of St. Anthony, the Prato della Valle, the Scrovegni Chapel, the university and the Botanical Garden, a UNESCO heritage site.

- 15 km away, on the other hand, is the city of Vicenza with its historic buildings and the area full of the most precious and stupendous Palladian villas that characterize it.

Very good

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way home from Tuscany.
The accommodation was very clean and there was no street noise.
Unfortunately the restaurant was not open due to lack of staff.
The pool was also great and clean.
However, we had a lot of... Read more
