The accommodation is located three kilometers from the Adriatic coast near the famous beaches of Bibione and Lignano Sabbiadoro.
The farmhouse consists of 2 independent old houses, complete with every comfort that can accommodate from 2 to 5 people each. Altogether there are 18 apartments surrounded by greenery, ideal for relaxing vacations thanks also to services such as a swimming pool and bicycles for excursions among nature.
The two old houses present a centuries-old history. A number of sharecropper families in the area were rewarded for loyalty in the early decades of the century for cultivating the Toniatti Giacometti family's land for more than 450 years.
The farm'sagricultural activity is multifaceted, characterized by arable crops and vineyards. The grapes produced on the farm are processed and boast a tradition of more than four centuries, resulting in fine wine production.
The flagship of the company is thebreeding of trotting racehorses, a sector that has made the company's name known and appreciated in Italy and around the world. The breeding farm boasts an excellent broodstock, the result of constant and targeted selection that gives rise to a production of foals, which compete at all European racetracks.
The excellent results allow the export of the semen of the best stallions on the farm. The farm is spread over about 300 hectares of land, in which the horses graze freely. This gives the farm an invaluable and unique bucolic spectacle of other times, when agriculture also meant protection and respect for the environment.
The farm is a kind of wine resort, consisting of 18 apartments with every comfort (kitchenette, dishwasher, satellite TV, air conditioning, large bathroom, bedrooms and living room). Breakfast service is the surprise effect provided by the staff who delight guests with a spectacular buffet.
In one facility, Casa gioconda, there is an apartment suitable for the disabled; in the second facility, Casa gioia, the elevator gives access to the disabled room. Casa Gioconda is also surrounded by a large garden from which you can reach the two swimming pools, one of which is suitable for the little ones.
Located on the embankment of the Tagliamento River, this farmhouse takes advantage of its proximity to a quiet bend in the river to offer its guests the opportunity to bathe on its shores, bathing immersed in nature as tourists did centuries ago. Casa Gioconda's location then allows for various outdoor activities in contact with nature.
It is possible to use mountain bikes to reach the beach of Bibione through the bike path built on the bank of the river Tagliamento near the farmhouse.
Agreed facilities: wellness service, beauty center, massages, horseback riding for adults and children.
Those who love art have the opportunity to visit the Toniatti Gallery.
Wine-tasting evenings from the Toniatti Breeding Cellar are offered during July and August.
Casa Gioconda is located halfway between regal Venice and Hapsburg Trieste, cities that need no introduction. It is the ideal starting point for interesting excursions by own or public transportation to places of great historical interest. In fact, a few dozen kilometers away is the archaeological site of Aquileia, rich in Roman remains (forum, basilica, port, sacred way, museum) and known in particular for the variety and good state of preservation of its mosaics. Also of Roman origin and with equally important vestiges, Concordia Sagittaria (Julia Concordia) and Cividale del Friuli (Forum Julii), an ancient Longobard capital famous for the small temple and altar of Duke Racchs (8th cent.), can be visited with short trips.
Another place to visit is 16th-century Palmanova, the famous star-shaped city known as a fort and bulwark in defense of the Turkish invasion. Not to be forgotten is Udine, the cultural capital of the small Friulian homeland, and the sumptuous Villa Manin di Passariano, the country residence of the last Doge of Venice, where Napoleon stayed in 1797 during the Treaty of Campoformido.
The villa is home to the regional center for cataloguing works of art and houses a school of restoration, while concert evenings and academic events are held in the park during the summer season.
