Via Viasana, 59, 30035 Mirano (Venice)
The agriturismo is a patrician villa in the Venetian inland, which exudes all the history, art and culture of the sixteenth century. The villa, nestled in the countryside of Mirano, part of an ancient Roman settlement, is just a stone’s throw from Venice, Padua and Treviso, in an area which produces and values healthy, wholesome food.
The farm grows seasonal produce and rears a variety of livestock (pigs, several breeds of goat, geese, ducks, chickens, hens, and more), which provide the ingredients for the agriturismo’s zero mile, sustainable cuisine.
Villa Mocenigo offers 10 spacious rooms, all uniquely furnished in eighteenth century style with wood and wrought iron, and featuring frescoes painted by Maestro Domenico Sorrentino. The 6 rooms on the ground floor represent the six districts of Venice (the so-called “Sestieri”), while the 4 on the upper floor recall the Maritime Republics.
All rooms are well lit and include bathrooms with showers, air conditioning, damask curtains, exposed beams, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels and hairdryers.
For those who love walking, the farm stands in an ancient Roman settlement, marked by a stone trail perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle. The bus terminus is just 400 metres away, while 20 minutes takes you to Venezia-Mestre Station, with connections to Venice, Treviso and Padua.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
