TheAntico Maniero is easily reached by driving along the S.P. Fastello, which connects it with the town of Montefiascone (VT), about 3 km, the municipality to which it belongs. The entrance to the property is directly located on the aforementioned provincial road, which is about 200 meters from the property via an internal gravel driveway.
The municipality of Montefiascone is located on Lake Bolsena and is known for its east-eastern wine. The lake is also overlooked by the characteristic villages of Marta, Capo di Monte, and Bolsena, which are rich in history. It is Europe's largest lake of volcanic origin with two islands (Bisentina and Martana) and an emissary river in its interior. It has a total area of 113.5 sq km (fifth in Italy) and is 305 m above sea level, has a maximum depth of 151 m and an average depth of 81 . It has been referred to by a major French weekly as the lake with the cleanest waters in Italy; in fact, it is entirely swimmable and passable by small boats. The cleanliness of its waters (it is locally referred to as "the lake that you drink!") has ensured an extraordinary development of animal and plant species that have almost completely disappeared in other basins.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
