The holiday farm 'The Raganelle' is situated in Diano Castello, a little town on the Riviera of Flowers only 29 km from Sanremo and 80 kms from Montecarlo. The house is in the heart of the Gulf of Diano Marina on a sunny green hill only 700 metres from the sea. The area has been dedicated to the produce of olives and to olive-pressing. There are still examples of olive trees dating from 900 to 1000 years. Ligurian traditions have always been related to the land, which is cultivated with love and dedication, to protect a strip of territory between hills and sea.
This farm is an example as, during the years they have brought forward their knowledge of farming which has been passed on from generation to generation, and which combines traditions and new technologies with due respect for the territory and nature, a fundamental point in this sector.
From this long and tedious work came the idea of 'the Raganelle' to satisfy the need to offer to others the fruit of their labour.
In the surrounding areas there are interesting possibilities for leisure, such as visits to the splendid old towns such as Laigueglia, Alassio, Apricale, Dolceacqua, Bussana etc, but in the Gulf of Diano there are two towns which are particularly beautiful and fascinating; Diano Castello and Cervo. Cervo conquers all tourists with its narrow houses all built adjacent to one another and which lead all the way down the hill to reach the sea, and with its stupendous baroque style church of Saint John the Baptist. Not the least is Diano Castello with its bell towers dominating the valley, which offers the possibility of many sports such as sailing, windsurf, deep-sea, diving, whale-watching. Whale-watching is very popular due to the 'sanctuary of cetaceans' which stretches in that part of the sea from Tuscany, Sardinia and Monaco and which takes up all of the Ligurian Sea; the passing of many whales and the probability of seeing them makes this experience unforgettable. Furthermore there's the possibility of making boat trips and fishing.
