The agriturismo
5 km from Sassoferrato and 10 km from the Frasassi Caves, Massimo Cipriani and Hans van Dorst will be delighted to welcome you to their organic agriturismo, which opened on 1 May 2015; a new lifestyle project dedicated to those who love fine cuisine, organic crops and farm animals.
Hans, who has extensive veterinary experience, takes care of the livestock, while Massimo offers local and regional cuisine with a contemporary twist: a professional chef for 25 years, Massimo studied cookery in Spoleto, before gaining experience in Italy, London, Paris and the Netherlands. He offers the finest Italian food and wine.
The accommodation
The old building, which dated back to 1860, was demolished and replaced with a new construction, typical of the Marche mountains, preserving the style of the original building and using materials recovered from the old farmhouse. The guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, are located on the ground floor.
The spaces once used to store hay and foodstuffs now house the restaurant: on entering, you will instantly notice the beautiful open fireplace, which ensures a cosy ambience during the winter months. The large windows offer beautiful views of the Sassoferrato valley and the Apennines, which form a natural border with Umbria.
During the summer months, guests can enjoy candlelit dinners on the terrace next to the restaurant. Ample guest parking is available.
