Noto (Syracuse)
Nestled in 22 hectares of Mediterranean shrubland, in the hills of the Hyblaean Mountains, the agriturismo is the result of the skilful renovation of a traditional home, which today offers guests the chance to experience the culture of the donkey, an animal which has provided loyal service to man for years, playing a key part in our very survival and development.
In the agriturismo’s restaurant guests can enjoy wholesome, freshly picked vegetables, a selection of rustic antipasti, followed by starters and mains, side dishes and desserts which all reflect traditional, local, Sicilian cuisine.
The agriturismo has recreated the ambience of a little ancient hamlet, providing comfortable and spacious guest accommodation (three rooms and one suite), all recently renovated and suitable for 2-5 guests.
You'll also find plenty of outdoor space, a riding centre, a farm, a children’s play area, a vegetable garden and of course the wonderful restaurant.
Agrimilo is the perfect to enjoy donkey trekking: the beautiful route, around the “Piano Milo” hill, is perfect for any age, from primary school groups upwards, the ideal way to discover the local area and its nature with an extraordinary guide, the donkey, who interprets this beauty most faithfully. The route runs mostly along trails, ancient mule tracks or connecting roads, today in disuse, in the company of the agriturismo’s donkeys, a wonderful way to rediscover and appreciate the rhythms of the past and traditional farming life.
The agriturismo can also provide a wealth of information on other local attractions.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
