The agriturismo
A recently built farmhouse, in addition to the house with 3 apartments, the farm has about 1 hectare of land planted with vineyards; one vineyard is located in the neighboring village of Missiano Riva di Sotto cultivated with muscatel grapes; the other is located in Pianizza di Sotto near Caldaro and cultivated with Gewürztraminer/aromatic Traminer.
A games room with a ping-pong table and a table football table are available to guests. For those who like to ride bikes, the property provides bicycles for pedaling in the surrounding area, all at no extra charge; the little ones can have fun on the lawn equipped with a swing and sandpit or on the small, nearby sports field. There is also a supermarket nearby for daily needs.
The accommodation
The house was built in 1974 as a guesthouse with breakfast; a complete renovation of the existing structure was carried out in 2001. The farmhouse is situated in a quiet location with a magnificent view of the surroundings in the picturesque village of Missiano, surrounded by meadows and vineyards.
All apartments have one or two balconies and are equipped with a four-burner electric stove, refrigerator with cooler, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster, TV/satellite system, safe, linens and towels.
Guests can also use the sauna upon request.
Castel Appiano: has an area of 50 m² consisting of:
- entrance hall with checkroom
- large double room with single sofa bed
- bathroom/WC with bidet
- kitchen-living room with kitchenette, sofa bed for two persons and roof terrace with a beautiful view of the adjacent orchards and vineyards and the castel Appiano, hence the assigned name.
The apartment is located in a very quiet location and features beautiful visible wooden roof.
Castel Corba: has an area of approx.60 m², consisting of:
- entrance hall with checkroom
- 1 large double room with double bed and single bed
- large bathroom/wc with bathtub and bidet
- spacious kitchen/living room with kitchenette and dishwasher, with corner sofa bed as a bed for up to 2 persons and with balcony facing south, all in elegant visible wooden roof
Merano: spacious apartment on the 1st floor with an area of approx.75 m², consisting of:
- separate access on porphyry staircase
- hallway with closet, shoe rack and clothes closet
- spacious living room with kitchenette and dishwasher, corner sofa bed as a bed for two and with south-facing balcony
- master bedroom and bedroom with 2 separate beds and with bunk beds, connected with each other with large attic terrace with panoramic view towards the mountains of Merano, in a very quiet location
The building's quiet and sunny location, intimate atmosphere and cozy apartments guarantee a relaxing vacation.
Activities and surrounding
The geographic location of this farm, set between the Adige plain and the enchanting hills of the Oltreadige, between the cities of Bolzano and Merano, makes it possible to go on many hikes and excursions by car.
Recommended is the castles walk and Castel Appiano, to admire the famous medieval frescoes in the castle chapel. Close by are the forested Monticolo lakes and Lake Kaltern.
The Dolomites, a unique mountain range, are easily accessible by car. The nearby city
of Bolzano also offers a beautiful old town and the Ötzi museum.
Also recommended is a walk through the gardens of Trautmannsdorf , one of the most beautiful Italian gardens near Merano.
Very close to the farm is also the Messner Mountain Museum, created by the famous South Tyrolean mountaineer Reinhold Messner, in the ancient walls of Sigmundskron Castle.
