Podere Montisi is located IN an organic-dynamic farm and is an eco-sustainable farmhouse in the heart of the Florentine countryside. Recently restored with sustainable materials and techniques, it was built back in the 1500s.
It produces olive oil, herbs and ancient grains, in harmony with nature and biodiversity. The farm is located in the Travalle Archaeological and Agricultural Park, and the estate is part of the European protected areas of naturalistic interest for the importance of its flora and fauna.
Sustainability, organic farming, agricultural practices, and ancient native plants are at the heart of everything they do at Podere Montisi.
The house was built during the Renaissance (circa 1500) and has been carefully and simply restored using low-impact ancient techniques. With great attention to sustainability in the restoration of the house, innovative and ancient bioarchitectural criteria were used: stone, wood and natural materials, lime-based plasters, egg and casein paints; in addition, well water, photovoltaic energy, biomass boiler, rainwater recovery, composting and biodynamic farming help reduce the 'environmental footprint.
WiFi access in the Bioagriturismo is available and free of charge.
During your stay, you will be able to enjoy breakfasts, lunches or dinners featuring farm-fresh produce from the Florence area. Meals must be arranged after booking to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
Shopping and laundry services can also be provided upon request, subject to availability.

Please to meet you, my name is Barbara and I am 56 years old.
I have been managing Podere Montisi since 2012 with my family.
As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops, we run the courses.
It was a desire to to meet new and interesting people all the time which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially appreciate its closeness to artistic/cultural points of interest.
