Pecore Ribelli (namely Rebel sheeps) is an organic farm based on permaculture principles where natural elements live together with animal and vegetal productions in an harmonic way. During your staying here, you will live in an ancient Venetian Villa build in the XVIII century from the family Querini- Stampalia used for hunting. We?ve restore this building using natural or recycled materials and inside the house you will find also our mill to produce our flours with our cereals. Same grains are used also to raise poultry and livestock living on our pastures. During the period you will stay here, you can pick your own vegetables and fruit in our garden and orchard. If you would like to learn how to make your bread and pizza, to spin or how it is to live in the countryside, you are welcome!

During your staying here, you will live in an ancient Venetian Villa build in the XVIII century from the family Querini- Stampalia used for hunting. We’ve restore this building using natural or recycled materials and inside the house you will find also our mill to produce our flours with our cereals. If you would like to learn how to make your bread and pizza, to spin or how it is to live in the countryside, you are welcome! My husband and myself have decided to become farmers because we believe that living in the countryside at a close contact with natural elements and with seasonal changes is one of the best way to preserve our world. We have an agronomic and veterinarian background but we desire to discover old jobs and traditions. We’ve learn how to mill cereals in our self-made strawball house, to make ourselves our bread, to raise animals and many other experieces that we could share with you. First of all we’ve learn to respect our world. And finally, during rests or making pizza, my husband which is one international expert on whales and dolphins conservation would be happy to discuss with you about these issues.
Obviously, the first thing to see if you stay with us is Venice, which does not need any introduction. Perhaps less known is the Riviera del Brenta, the canal used by the ancient Venetians to reach Padua and where they built villas and estates where they could spend their free time. Our house is just one of these: the Querini Stampalia family took advantage of this building for hunting parties in the woods behind it. From here you can easily reach Padua and Chioggia by car or bus, but you can also rent a bike and take guided tours that will take you to discover the Villas and the curiosities of our territory: the Palazzo Ducale di Stra, the Palladian villa of Malcontenta, both villas designed by Palladio, the Squero di Dolo are certainly among the most particular and characteristic destinations. You can appreciate these beauties also from the river, thanks to the boats that daily offer a guided tourist service. During your artistic excursions you can relax in our company, enjoying the green spaces and the company of the animals. If you are curious about the agricultural world and the productions you will be able to accompany us in the daily management of our farm by collecting the secrets or small curiosities of this trade that we have chosen. Walking through the vegetable garden and orchards you can collect the seasonal fruits for your lunches yourself. Our passion for animal husbandry and our profession will allow you to approach, with respect, the animal world and how these can be present in a farm respecting their well-being and the world around them. In our mill built with straw bales, you will get to know the secrets of flour production and learn how to make bread. During the day, in moments of rest, Alice dedicates herself to small artisanal productions, like the spinning of wool. And if you then want to talk about the conservation of whales and other animals, Sandro is an international expert on the subject and will be happy to tell you about his experiences.
