The wide spaces of the farmhouse, both internal and external, are absolutely adequate to guarantee much more than the distance provided for by the decrees, also considering that the structure accommodates a maximum of 15 people. The agriturismo Serine is therefore absolutely suitable for a relaxing break even in emergency.

Personnel: all staff have been specially trained, are aware of the protective measures provided and able to protect the guests. Indoors, everyone will wear the appropriate masks (attention will also be required of guests).

Restaurant: table service is provided for a maximum of 4 people every 10 square meters; the tables are arranged in such a way that the distance between people is more than one meter; weather permitting, however, catering will be done especially in outdoor places.

Rooms: in addition to daily cleaning, the rooms will be sanitized at each guest change following the protocols of the law.

17th century farmhouse restored with the help of traditional materials and techniques that have preserved its typology and volume while making it functional to new needs. It is surrounded by crops of various types and ornamental essences (palms, oleanders, succulent plants) that cleverly inserted in the rural context made of rocks and stone walls contribute to make the site exclusive.


The farm offers hospitality in the rooms on the ground floor, in 3 two-roomed apartments (living and sleeping area) with kitchenette and 3 rooms with independent service. There are the period lodgings, with vaults of local type (star or barrel vaults), furnished with restored family furniture, but above all cool in summer and warm in winter thanks to the thick walls; they are equipped with television, telephone (the two-roomed apartments) and heating and have a number of beds suitable for their size. All apartments have a main entrance from the living area and exit to the garden from the sleeping area, while a shading canopy or a porch help to protect them from the sun as well as creating a cool and livable area in front of your accommodation.

On the upper floor of the farm there is the reception with the sitting room and a period fireplace where guests can entertain themselves with the hosts or watch TV. With an intervention of recent workmanship has been built a body of the building containing on the ground floor two large porches for accommodation and upstairs a breakfast room.
The space surrounding the farm is large and flat. There are games for children (the slide, the merry-go-round and two swings), the olive grove avenue about 100 metres long, cool and restful with its stone benches and a "health path" for joggers (about 500 metres to be covered several times).

The kitchen is the flagship of the company, with attention to every detail: the main objective is the quality of the product. In fact for the preparation of meals are used mostly selected farm raw materials and, for the rest, typical products of the place of origin and proven quality. The dishes are made according to typical recipes of the rural cuisine of Salento, which, according to tradition, is characterized mainly by the frequent use of vegetables, vegetables and legumes variously cooked.
The property has a very rich list of dishes, from appetizers to desserts, including the "classic" recipes of Salento and many other typical local and personalized dishes. The breakfast service includes, in addition to milk, coffee or tea, homemade baked goods (wheat bread, biscuits, donuts, tarts) with farm jams and homemade honey.

You can visit in Salento: S.Maria di Leuca, a well-known sea resort at the extreme edge of Apulia, where the blue Adriatic sea joins the Ionian sea, in front of the famous sanctuary "De Finibus Terrae". Gallipoli, which enlarges on a cape and a little island in the Ionian sea. It is an ancient Greek town, with a castle, the "Greek fountain" and a Baroque cathedral.

Otranto, on a creek of the Adriatic coast, known for its history: in 1480, 800 martyrs were beheaded by the Turkish as they did not deny Christian faith. Their remains are kept in a wonderful 11th century-cathedral along with some Byzantine mosaics and a crypt.
Lecce, where the 16th century Baroque style and the white local stone have given their best expression in the Cathedral square, the Holy Cross church and lots of small churches and old mansions in the picturesque streets of the historical centre.

It is worth going around the whole Salentine peninsula, visiting the villages founded by the Greek (Calimera, Martano, Castrignano dei Greci, Melpignano, Corigliano d'Otranto...), with their Greek-Byzantine remains (dolmen, menhir, crypts and rock churches) and ancient popular traditions (shows, fairs, village festivals), but also the very old Nardò with its wonderful historical centre, Galatina and Maglie with their Gothic and Baroque churches, the grand Castle in Copertino the several examples of rural and rock architecture (ancient fortified farms, typical dry stone-dwellings, underground oil-mills).
