A second building includes the accommodation area with 10 double rooms. The catering department has a potential total capacity of 1000 places.
The farm is located in "Is Caviones", about 2 km from the town of Samugheo, along the SP 71. Samugheo is a town of 3,250 inhabitants in the province of Oristano , which is about 40 km away along the SP33. The municipality is 370 metres above sea level, situated in an area called Brabaxianna , in the historical region of Mandrolisai .
The territory of Samugheo, which covers 80 km², borders to the north with Busachi, Ortueri and Sorgono, to the west with Allai and Ruinas, to the south with Asuni, to the east with Atzara, Meana Sardo and Laconi. It is a prevalently hilly area which reaches a maximum height of 650m, made up of mountains which, although not particularly high, are rather solitary and wild, and a succession of gorges, ravines and imposing rocky walls.
It is rich in fresh springs and autochthonous vegetation, typical of the Sardinian woods, consisting of mastic, holm oak, wild olive and euphorbia with the presence of wild carnations. The fauna is characterized by the presence of foxes, partridges, jays and wild boars. On the inaccessible walls nest the pigeon, the kestrel and other hawks, sometimes even the golden eagle. The territory is characterized by the presence of a discreet number of caves that deserve to be visited. We can mention the one of Sa conca 'e su Cuaddu in the valley of the Riu Settilighe, the Grotta dell'Aquila on the mountain of Sa Pala de is Fais and those near the Castello di Medusa, such as the suggestive Buco della Chiave with its characteristic hourglass shape.
The town is undoubtedly fascinating, both for the traditions that its people still preserve, such as the suggestive carnival (A Maimone) and the working of bread, and for the important cultural heritage such as the MURATS (Museo Unico Regionale Arte Tessile Sarda), the churches of S. Michele (from which the Catalan word for textiles derives), the church of S. Maria. Michele (from which in Catalan the name of the city "San Migueu" would derive), S. Sebastiano and S. Basilio, dating back to the XV and XVI century, the archaeological sites such as the Medusa Castle, entirely excavated from marble and dating back to the Byzantine period, today hardly accessible.
