The agriturismo
Between Spoleto and Trevi, just outside Poreta, a medieval hamlet brought back to life in a tasteful restoration process. The little piazza, the stables, the sheepfold, the olive press, the granary and the barnyards now house 11 rooms, 1 apartment, 6 suites, a restaurant, lounges, a wellness area, spacious grounds and a swimming pool with views of the S. Francesco valley and the hills of Montefalco.
The accommodation
The elegant rooms — Classic and Superior — are all air conditioned with independent heating, internet access, TVs, safes, tea and coffee facilities and mini bars. The limestone walls painted with natural pigments are complemented with the linens, four-poster beds and armchairs. The bathrooms combine original architectural features with modern style and comfort.
The old sheepfold is now a 120-seater restaurant and breakfast room, the ideal space for events of all kinds: in this spacious lounge with stone walls, overlooking the garden, you can enjoy breakfast, while the large pergola is perfect for light lunches, dinners and tasting of wine, the farm’s own oil and other local produce. Chef Valentina Dugo prepares Umbrian menus using carefully selected, organic, zero mile produce. A well-equipped conference and meeting room is available to seat groups of up to 80. Two further lounges provide relaxing, peaceful space. The old wine cellar is now a winter garden, home to the Honesty Bar, open 24/7 and offering a selection of wines, gin, rum and whisky.
Activities and surrounding
On request, the agriturismo hosts art exhibitions. A wellness area with spa features structures in pine, steel and glass, ideal for fitness. A sauna is also available, subject to booking. You can enjoy yoga and pilates classes, as well as wellness and spa packages with massages and dedicated beauty treatments.
Other activities on offer include: farm tours stopping off at the oil museum, olive groves and the oil press, donkey walks, truffle hunting, Fiat 500 tours, hiking along “La via di S. Francesco”, fly fishing in Valnerina and horseback excursions.
