Via Subia 15, Gaiano 84084 Fisciano (Salerno) Code 15065052EXT0003
A stone’s throw from the Amalfi and Cilento coasts, in an area rich in beauty, culture and archaeology, the baronial Negri family owns an old estate in Gaiano Fisciano, near the 19th century main building and around the farmhouse, “La Corte”, nestled in the Irno Park.
Monica, the only daughter of Baron Antonio Negri, has transformed the family estate into a charming agriturismo, in memory of her father, allowing all guests to enjoy the enchantment and ancient flavours of this corner of paradise, that reminds her of summer holidays from when she was a child.
The ancient forests of hazelnuts, chestnuts and walnuts, with the old vineyard, create an immense green backdrop around the farmhouse and its family hospitality.
The rooms, furnished with extreme attention to detail, possess the comforts inherent with a farmhouse and enjoy views of the valley or the garden, to experience a stay in the utmost relaxation.
The "Pannatone" room is a cozy restaurant with rustic details and the hearth where you 'can taste homemade delicacies for breakfast, traditional recipes for lunch and dinner, with genuine and familiar flavors. There are adjoining open spaces for children's entertainment.
The garden houses a swimming pool reserved for resident guests, to allow all its guests to enjoy the enchantment, the quiet, the ancient flavors and scents of this green corner of paradise.
The cuisine lives on family traditions and these lands. Much of the produce comes from the farm crops, and the recipes are authentic Campanian, with specialties such as lasagna with vegetables, ricotta ravioli, mushroom pate and wild boar, prepared with herbs and enriched with tasty side dishes.
The Dolceria is the most mouth-watering area: hazelnut cookies are baked here to brighten the end of a meal, which can be purchased in packages for a sweet souvenir and a thought for family and friends. Products such as cakes, doughnuts, mostaccioli, crunchies and rococo are a stylish gift of Campania's traditions.
Everything that can be done ( of beauty!) on our farm and in the immediate surroundings, and there is just so much of it, we divide it, for convenience, into thematic areas so that guests can more easily identify what they are interested in.
NATURALISTIC/HIKING:
- Walk through the agritourism* and the adjoining farm (12 hectares), with an illustration of the natural cycle of products and eventual harvesting, depending on the season: from the vegetable garden to the hazelnut grove (8 hectares, approx. 7.000 plants, of hazelnut Tonda di Giffoni IGP), from fruit plants to chestnut and walnut trees, from the vineyard to the olive grove; then the vast garden, rich in flowers (from jasmines , extending for entire walls, to pelargonias, with their scented leaves, from geraniums to daisies, from hydrangeas to medinille, from plumbacos to succulents).
- Visiting the animals is an activity that involves the whole family. Visitors can independently visit farm animals such as donkeys, goats, chickens, and rabbits.
- Walks in the estate's woods, with mushroom searches, among expanses of wild pink cyclamen.
- Walks in the natural park of Frassineto, two kilometers from the farmhouse (passable by car), where paths (very easy) and trails (modest slope) are clearly indicated, there is a 'large play area for children and a picnic area with fixed barbecues set up; ideal for trekking and jogging (in one of the paths, of km. 3, there are, every mt 150, wooden fitness equipment, to do together jogging and fitness).
- Hiking in the hills , among chestnut and hazelnut trees, and in the mountains of the Valle dell'Irno, especially Mount S. Michele, mt 1,600, three hours of walking or, if you prefer, approach by car to the square/parking lot and only one hour of ascent on foot

- If you are interested in other more specific, but less "our own" proposals, such as horse trekking, mountain biking, motor cross and archery courses, we put guests in touch with nearby outside providers, upon request.
FOOD AND WINE:
- Cooking classes*, hands-on (on-the-job) and customized to the needs of guests, (who after the first dinner can choose which dishes to learn how to make), run directly in our kitchen by the farmhouse cooks, particularly on various pizzas, homemade pasta (scialatelli and cavatelli) and organic hazelnut desserts (caramelized hazelnuts, fruit tarts, chocolate and hazelnut "negrella" cake).
- Organization of food and wine tours, with visits to producers, close to the farmhouse, of mozzarella, tomatoes, oil, wine (aglianico and falanghina, especially) and artisanal ice cream, that is, the poducts of excellence of the Salerno area.
LANDSCAPE/ARTISTIC/ARCHAEOLOGICAL:
The agritourism, immersed in a green park that guarantees relaxation and unspoiled nature, is located, however, in a strategic position ( only 2.5 km from the SA/AV highway) to reach, within a few minutes, the most beautiful and famous landscape, artistic and archaeological sites of the entire Campania Region: - at min. 8, the historic center of Salerno, a real pleasant surprise (because it is still little known), with the beautiful Romanesque cathedral of St. Matthew, the amazing Longobard Arechi Castle and the Museum of the Ancient Medical School of Salerno, the first in Europe ( c. sec. IX), with adjoining botanical garden of medicinal plants, now Minerva Park. From November to January all of Salerno is illuminated with endless "artist lights," a sight not to be missed.
- At min.15, the Amalfi Coast, the divine coastline, with Amalfi, Ravello and Positano (reachable, as well as by car, also by ship, departing from Salerno or even by sailboats, whose charter we can arrange, on request).
- At min. 25, Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Roman cities buried c. 2,000 ago by Mount Vesuvius: after visiting the archaeological sites, you can drive to the middle of the volcano and then walk, in min. 25, to the edge of the crater, a thrilling sight.
- At min. 35, Naples, the capital of southern Europe in the 19th, an extraordinarily beautiful city rich in history and art, with the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida crowning the gulf.
- At min. 45, Paestum, with its Greek temples, among the most impressive in southern Italy.
