We were very shocked to read your review considering that when you departed our farmhouse, you thanked us profusely saying we could not have done enough to assist you with your car breakdown emergency and making your stay a relaxing and pleasurable one. We were very surprised to learn that you were not pleased with the services that we offer and promise as an agriturismo/B&B to all our guests. We are a very small agriturismo managed and operated by 2 experienced professionals for over 10 years and the direct owners of the business as well (husband & wife); we do not have other staff, waiters, etc. in order to keep our operating costs as low as possible and our room rates the lowest possible.



As per our website and the Agriturismo.it portal, the services mentioned on line were all offered to you such as: a buffet breakfast with homemade cakes and jams, a mini fridge in the room, free Wi-Fi, free parking, an optional 4 course dinner, daily room cleaning and a lovely pool for the exclusive use of our guests (which, may we add, you enjoyed completely by yourself for 3 days with no other guests present!). Other optional services (farm visit, cheese tastings and winery tours) are always offered to our guests who show interest and are subject to an additional payment. You then requested an additional night and we graciously let you stay another night problem-free. Also, two cans of our extra virgin olive oil were pre-ordered and then when checking out you told us you no longer wanted to purchase them which was no problem at all.



Breakfast buffet style was served every morning punctually at your own private table with all the cappuccinos/espressos you requested and scrambled eggs as well. Dinner too was served as promised at the agreed price per person with wine, coffee and digestif included and for which we received your praises saying how delicious the food was; we even accommodated Paolo?s lactose intolerance being careful to eliminate all cheese and milk products for him. And even though we do not offer an internal coffee bar or pool service, we brought you extra cappuccinos to the pool in the afternoon as an exception!



Because of the extreme heat we assigned you a different room that was air conditioned at NO additional cost and on top of all this we assisted you with your serious car problem that happened when you arrived at our farmhouse. We personally called the mechanic in Orvieto where you brought your car to be repaired and he assured us he would take good care of you. Then when you were stranded on the road without a car in the extreme heat of the day you called us to request a pickup which we organized quickly and in 15 minutes a private driver came to pick you up and brought you back to our house. We also called the rental car agency but no cars were available at the moment. We really cannot think of anything else we could have done for you or for any of other guests (also considering you were not the only guests we had at that time).



However, we always recommend that our guests speak to us first while staying with us esp. if they are in need of something or if something is lacking - in this way we are given a chance to correct the situation or find a suitable solution for both parties. Unfortunately we cannot read our guests' minds and in your case there was no language barrier that could hinder communication.



We are heartbroken as we truly work hard to make our guests? stay the best ever in this peaceful and relaxing oasis we call home. We are sorry you did not find this peace of mind. If you were expecting the services of a 5 star hotel (but definitely not at our room rates!) then obviously we were not a suitable match for your expectations.
