The agriturismo

The Raval farm with its agritourism is located on the innermost offshoots of theGarda morainic amphitheater among the vineyards and olive groves that characterize the eastern shore of Lake Garda in the heart of the Bardolino Classico Zone. It is less than 2 kilometers from the town of Bardolino and about 30 from the city of Verona. In just a few kilometers you can go from the Mediterranean environment of the lake to the alpine landscape of Baldo and Lessini Mountains to the art cities of the Plain.

The accommodation

Since summer 2010 it has four apartments made out of the old tool shed consisting of living room with kitchenette, double bedroom, loft, bathroom, terrace and garden with barbecue and carport. They are equipped with independent heating and air conditioning. The entire farm is served by a solar thermal system. In all apartments there is a small library with books about the area and for children.

The winery was founded in 1985 and soon carved out an important space among wineries in the classic area. It currently consists of 10 hectares of vineyards and 3 of olive groves. The owner Nello Rossi personally oversees the cultivation of the vineyards and winemaking, while the whole family participates in the running of the winery.

The company's main product is Bardolino Classico DOC, made from the 4 typical grape varieties of the area: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Negrara; followed by the Bardolino Chiaretto Classico DOC, made from the same grapes but with a different processing (vinification "in rosa"); the Bardolino Superiore Classico DOCG, made from the same grape varieties but aged one year and lightly barrel-aged; the Bardolino Novello Classico DOC, typical of the autumnal period; among the reds we still have the Nogarot IGT, a "fancy" wine produced with the same grapes as Bardolino with the 'addition of Cabernet grapes and finally, the 'last born, the sparkling Rosè "Rosolet".

Bardolino Classico DOC and Bardolino Chiaretto Classico DOC are young wines that should generally be drunk within the year in order to better appreciate their characteristics, color and bouquet; whereas Bardolino Superiore Classico DOC and Nogarot are well suited to aging for some years. Among the whites we then have the Bianco Raval IGT, obtained from a blend of white grapes; the Chardonnay IGT, produced with only Chardonnay grapes; and the Bianco Frizzante "Le Pervinche," obtained from a mixed blend.

The winery also produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil and jams.
Wine tasting is accompanied by snacks and canapés with oil and typical local products, such as cheeses, cured meats and olive pâté.

A stay at the agritourism should definitely be an opportunity to discover or learn more about the lake and its surroundings. San Vigilio, the Rocca di Garda, the hamlets of the upper lake, the morainic amphitheaters of Benaco and Rivoli, Mount Baldo, the nearby Valpolicella, the Lessini Mountains, and the Mincio River, to name but a few, offer unmissable landscapes and sensations. Absolutely undiscovered are also the artistic beauties of Verona, Mantua, Vicenza, Padua, Modena, Brescia, Venice, and numerous other smaller towns easily reached in a day trip.
